Film Production Project
presented by Cadence Theatre Company and RPAA
Film Production Project, presented by RPAA and Cadence Theatre Company, gives rising 6th through 12th grade students the opportunity to learn the art of visual storytelling by writing, filming and acting in original short films, including a wide array of formats such as documentaries, narratives and music videos. From pre-production planning and script writing to acting for the camera, shooting, editing and output, this two-week project is perfect for today’s media-savvy youth. Professional filmmakers and actors will lead students through all aspects of movie making. No prior experience is necessary.
The camp runs weekdays August 14-25. Classes will be held 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. in the Genworth Brightlights Education Center located on the third floor of Dominion Arts Center: 600 E.Grace Street, Richmond, VA 23219. Registration for the camp is $450.

Please note that students are not enrolled until payment is received.
Once registration and payment is received, you will be contacted by a member of the education staff at RPAA and sent further information, including a insurance/health information form and photo release/waiver to fill out and sign. These forms will need to be completed and brought with student(s) on the first day of the course.
Withdrawing from course: Any refunds for withdrawal are considered on a case by case basis by the Director of Education. Please note that if you must withdraw from the course less than two weeks prior to the start date, you will not receive a refund.
