Paying homage to the first season of Legends on Grace, beloved vocalists Desirée Roots, Georgia Rogers Farmer, and Scott Wichmann come together for a swingin’ celebration of holiday magic! Backed by a tight jazz combo led by Dr. Weldon Hill, this all-star trio will help you ring in the season with class, humor, joy, and grand style.

The performance will last two hours with a 15-minute intermission.

Doors open at 7:00 PM.

Artist Biographies

Georgia Rogers Farmer Georgia Rogers Farmer is elated to be sharing the stage with these incredible performers!  She is feeling so lucky and grateful. Based in Richmond and originally from North Carolina, she has over 30 years of live performances to her credit and is a self-proclaimed domestic goddess.  Georgia has also been featured in productions with Virginia Repertory Theatre, Firehouse Theatre, Henrico Theatre Company, Liberty Theatre, Swift Creek Mill Theatre, Richmond Triangle Players, The North Carolina Theatre, HATheatre, Triad Stage, Temple Theatre and many more.  Some of her favorite roles include Nice Work If You Can Get It (Duchess), Souvenir (Florence Foster Jenkins), Kimberly Akimbo ((Debra), [title of show] (Heidi), Preludes (Dahl), The Drowsy Chaperone (Kitty), It Shoulda Been You (Jenny) and John & Jen (Jen).  She was over the moon to recently be a soloist with the Richmond Symphony.  Her smash hit one woman cabarets include “Horns and Corns”, “Re-Butter That Biscuit”, “Belle of the Balls”, “The Real Housewife of Chesterfield County”, “Lies My Martini Told Me” and on and on…  She is an avid yogi and loves french fries, bicycling and her huzzband, Tim. Desirée RootsDesirée Roots is one of Virginia’s most sought-after vocalists and performers — showcasing her talent in theatres and concert halls throughout the Commonwealth and the region for the past 30 years. Making her stage debut at age 13 as Dorothy in The Haymarket Theatre’s production of The Wiz, Desirée has appeared in over 30 stage productions. She is revered for her powerful yet controlled, lush voice with its 3½ octave range. Her ability to sing nearly every genre including Jazz, Gospel, Opera, and popular music has made her one of the region’s most sought-after vocalists. Desirée is proud to be a Grammy-nominated recording artist as she continually performs with orchestras, Jazz bands, and as leader of her own ensembles. She has shared the stage with Grammy Award-winning guitarists, Buddy Guy and BB King, saxophonists Gerald Albright and Boney James, was the opening act for Brian McKnight.  She has been a featured vocalist with the world-famous Glenn Miller Orchestra, the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, the Petersburg Symphony and our very own Richmond Symphony Orchestra. Desirée received the Richmond Theater Critics Circle Award, “Best Actress in a Musical” for her portrayal of Caroline in Caroline or Change and was a show-stopper in role of Effie White in Virginia Repertory Theatre’s production of Dreamgirls. In 2017 Desirée wrote a tribute to Virginia’s Ella Fitzgerald in honor of the 100th anniversary of the legend’s birth. Ella at 100 featured Desiree in the starring role with a 3-member cast and a 14-piece orchestra. Due to popularity the production was renamed Forever Ella and is still being performed regionally. 

Scott WichmannScott Wichmann (Featured Vocalist) first stepped into the Richmond spotlight as Frank Sinatra in the World Premiere Musical Revue Ella and Her Fella, Frank at Barksdale Theatre. Over twenty five years, Scott has appeared in productions at every major venue in the city. Favorites include A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder, 1776, Peter and the Starcatcher, The Producers, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Say Goodnight Gracie. Film/TV credits include Loving, Lincoln, Lake Effects, Shooting the Prodigal, Legends & Lies: The Patriots and Turn: Washington’s Spies. Scott holds a B.A. in Theatre and Speech from Wagner College, (Staten Island, N.Y.) and proudly serves as a Mass Communication Specialist in the U.S. Navy Reserve.
