3140 (Ovations Studio)
Spacious dance studio with a full wall of mirrors, dance bars, sprung floors, upright piano, and soundproofing curtains.
Smaller classroom with dry erase board (with & without musical staff), built-in bulletin boards, and windows.
Decorative sofas, chairs, side tables, and art exhibit hanging system.
Annual requests (long-term or frequent use of 2 or 3 rooms/spaces during the week, or frequent use of 1 or more rooms/spaces per month on weekends) will typically be invoiced on a quarterly basis.
Periodic requests will be invoiced per event following the date of use.
To cancel a reservation, please formally communicate via email to firstname.lastname@example.org AT LEAST 24 hours prior to reservation time. Any renters who cancel less than 24 hours from the date/time of reservation will be expected to pay for the reserved space, regardless of whether the space is used.
If requested, RPAA will provide appropriate signage, however, it is the User’s responsibility to provide the language for the signage, as well as to communicate clearly with their participants per location and directions.
Security is provided Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM during the typical performing arts season—September through June. Summer and holiday hours differ, so contact Hillary Kay with further questions.
If you need to reserve outside of these hours, you will be charged for the cost of security at a rate of approximately $18/hour, per ASM policy, with a required minimum of 4 hours.
The RPAA Director of Education & Community Engagement will maintain final decision-making authority on utilization and scheduling of space within the GBLEC.
All Users and participants are required to enter through the 7th Street Security Entrance, and sign in and out with building Security.
For classes and events involving children 18 and under, you are expected to gather all participants at Security and proceed to the third floor together. The same is expected for exiting.
It is expected that the User ensures that participants proceed directly to the 3rd floor and that participants do not meander into other sections of the building.
Renter is expected to communicate procedures for parking, pick-up, and drop-off with all guests related to their rentals. RPAA is not responsible for any tickets and/or citations that may result from a breach in proper procedures.
We will continue to follow the guidance from local, state, and federal agencies including the Virginia Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. All organizations utilizing the Genworth Bright Lights Education Center spaces should follow the most recent guidelines and recommendations from the organizations listed above.

|Room Set-Up Fee||$25||Please note that a charge of $25 will be applied to all rentals that request a room set-up of chairs/tables/etc. No charge will be made for bare rooms.|
|Room Clean-Up Fee||$25||Rooms are expected to be left in the same condition they were at the start of your rental. If this is not found to be the case, a $25.00 charge will be added to your invoice to make the room ready for our next guests. All renters will receive one warning.|
|Late Notice Service Fee||$15||Reservations placed within 24 hours of the requested reservation time which require immediate attention will incur an additional service fee.|
|Meeting A/V Equipment Fee||$50||This fee covers the set up and use of RPAA’s Smart TV & Video Conferencing equipment for blended (Virtual/In Person) meetings or events.*|
*This equipment should not be used unless requested. Regular use of ONLY the Smart TV should also be requested, however RPAA may reduce this fee on a case-by-case basis.

|ASM Security Fee||$18/hr|
If you book outside the regularly scheduled hours, you will be required to pay a security fee of $18/hr.
If you book security in order to enter through the Grace Street Entrance, the fee is $18/hr with a minimum booking slot of four hours.
